Bottle Gourd( Lauki ki sabzi)

Bottle gourd cooked in Indian spices.

Ingredients:

2 small bottle gourd-peeled and chopped or 1 medium sized.

2 tablespoons ghee or 3 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 teaspoon cumin seeds

1 small red onion finely chopped

1 chopped green chili

1 " ginger grated

salt according to taste

1/4th teaspoon turmeric powder

pinch of asafetida

1 teaspoon corinader powder

1/2 tespoon red chili powder

pinch of jaggery powder

chopped cilantro to garnish

First Peel and chop the bottle gourd.

In a wok , add 2 tablespoons of ghee and cumin seeds. Once you hear the crackling sound add the chopped onions , ginger and green chili till it is golden brown then add all the other spices and chopped bottlegourd. Toss it and stir ot for 405 minutes. Add 1 tablespoon of whater and cover it for 4-5 minutes. Taker the lid off stir it add the cilantro and stir it for 3-4 minutes. Se
