Ingredients;
2 lbs chicken skinless and boneless -thigh or breast
For Marination
1/2 cup Greek Yogurt
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon Garam masala
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
1 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon ginger & garlic paste
Marinate for minimum 2 hours
Then put it for grilling in the BBQ or in the oven. Semi cook it only.
Prepare the sauce for the masala-1n red onion chopped -take a frying pan add 2 tablespoons oil
1 cinnamon stick, 1 black cardamon and 2 cloves let it warm up then add the chopped onion and let it brown , then add 1 teaspoon minced garlic and 2 chopped green chilies to the onions. After the browning process let it cool down and put this in the food processor till the mixture is smooth . In the same pan add 2-3 chopped tomatoes and 1 tablespoon tomato paste with 1 tablespoon butter and salt according to taste with 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder . Add the ground onion mixture to this and cook for 5-7 minutes then add the semi grilled chicken to it. Mix it well and add 1 cup water , cover the pan and cook for 10-12 minutes. Garnish with dry fenugreek leaves. Serve with boiled rice or roti.
