Curd Rice

One dish with several names from west to south part of India. Ingredients - 1 cup rice

Sprigs of curry leaves

2-3 garlic minced

2 green chilies slit

1 red chilly dry

1 teaspoon urad dal

1 teaspoon mustard seeds

pinch of asafetida

salt according to taste

1/2 teaspoon grated ginger

3/4 th cup plain yogurt

2 tablespoons oil



In a pan add oil let it warm up then add the mustard seeds , asafetida, urad dal once it starts splattering add ginger and curry leaves salt dry red chili and curry leaves

Mix the boiled rice and yogurt together add that to the tempering seeds , garnish with cilantro leaves and roasted peanuts!
