Egg Masala

Boiled egg simmered in tomato masala with spices .


Boil the eggs and cut them into half. Sprinkle some salt and leave it aside.

2-3 tomatoes plus 1 teaspoon tomato paste

3/4th teaspoon salt

1 plus 1/4th teaspoon ginger garlic paste

1 small onion -fried

3 tablespoons curd

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon cumin/coriander powder

1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder

1/4th teaspoon garam masala

cinnamon sticks, 2 cardamom and a few cloves


Fry 1 medium onion and make sure it is brown and grind it in a processor and leave it aside. In the same pan add 2 tablespoons oil add the tomatoes and tomato paste with the salt cook well and add the ginger garlic paste and stir it well add the salt and dried spices then add some water and then add the curd keep stirring and now add the fried onions . Once the mixture is well blended add the sliced boiled eggs upside down and garnish with cilantro and serve with chapatis.
