Karahi Paneer

Paneer ( Indian cottage cheese) sauteed with onions, pepper and tomatoes plus spicy masala.


Paneer-haldiram or nanak sliced lengthwise

1 medium sized onion

1 -2 sliced green chillies

2 grated tomatoes

1 teaspoon ginger and garlic minced

Salt to taste

1/4th teaspoon turmeric powder

1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder

1 teaspoon coriander powder

1 teaspoon garam masala

2 tablespoon yogurt

Fenugreek leaves 1 tablespoon

1/2 sliced green and red bellpepper

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 cinnamom stick


In a nonstick pan , add oil wait for it to warm add the sliced onions and giner/garlic paste with green chillies , cook till it is golden brown. Add the ttomatoes cook it well and add the bellpeppers. Give it a good stir and add all the dried spices with salt. Add 14th cup water. Then add the paneer cover for 4-5 minutes and turn the gas off and add the fenugreek leaves on top. Serve with hot chapatis.
