Life is too short to say no to this yum rum cake

Rum cake with orange zest that you can't resist.


Ingredients- A box of yellow cake mix

1 Vanilla jello pudding

1/2 cup oil

1/4th cup warm water

4-5 tablespoons of orange zest

1/2 cup spiced rum -I used captain morgan

1 teaspoon orange flavored essence

4 eggs

Mix these all together with a cake mixer.

In the mean time preheat the oven at 350 F and grease the bundt cake pan with some oil and dust it with some flour. Pour the batter in this and put it in the oven for 55-60 minutes.

The glaze for the Cake- In a sauce pan add 8 tablespoons of unsalted butter and 1 cup powdered sugar Add 1/4th cup orange juice and 2/3rd cup rum . Stir it well. After the cake is done let it cool down and make holes while it is still the pan and add the syrup. Once it has cooled down flip it on the cake platter that you want to serve the cake on and use the sifter or sprinkle maually the powder sugar on top. Enjoy this moist drunken cake.
