A north indian dish-paneer cooked with peas, onion tomatoes and spices.
Ingredients:
1 medium onion
2 tomatoes plus 1teaspoon tomato paste
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1 teaspoon minced garlic
2 chopped green chillies
1 cup frozen peas
paneer cut into square pieces
salt to taste
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon coriander and cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1/2 teaspoon degi mirch or kashmiri masala
3 tablsespoons vegetable oil.
In a nonstick pan, add oil let it warm and then add chopped onions , wait till it gets translucent then add salt , ginger , garlic and green chillies. Let it get a bit brown and rthen add the tomatoes and paste with a few spoons of water. Keep stirring it and now add the dry spices with the peas. Add 2 cups of water and let it boil then add the paneer and cover it for 8-10 minutes in low to medium heat. Garnish with cilantro. Serve with parantha or chapati.
